Meet Our Therapists
Monique Berg-Spindelman, MS, DPT

In 2005, Melissa graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT). She completed her masters degree in Public Health at Florida International University in 2011.
Although Melissa grew up in Rochester, NY she began her career in occupational therapy at SeaPines Rehabilitation hospital in Melbourne, FL and then transitioned to Skilled Rehabilitation at Life Care Centers of America in Orlando, FL. While in Florida, she met her husband who was also from Rochester, and then relocated back home to be closer to family. She had been working as an Occupational Therapist in the home care setting for over 14 years.
In 2023, Melissa completed her Certified Aging in Place Specialists certification (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Association to better serve clients and families on improving safety and functionality within their home environment.
She joined the OPTAH team in March 2024 after recognizing that there is a great need for patients to continue therapy after discharge from home care. Melissa strives to help patients continue to build and maintain strength and mobility to keep their independence for as long as possible.
